If a person ever wanted to see a teacher get a pie in the face or to watch as a classmate army-crawled across the gym floor, then he would be glad he was one of the many students who got the opportunity to attend the Clovis West “Back 2 School” Rally on Friday, August 26. With the help of the Leadership students and staff, many Eagles had a great time at the Olympics-themed event. The student body was very supportive and involved throughout the event. Clovis West students were presented with dazzling performances from many extraordinary groups made up of their fellow peers. Varsity Cheer performed one of their spectacular halftime routines, full of stunts and tumbling, while students from all grade levels watched in awe. Varsity Pep showcased one of their routines, kicking high and pumping up the crowd. The Clovis West band played some of their carefully rehearsed, intricate songs. Spectators were also given a taste of what the Hip Hop Club is made of and now many are looking forward to their next performance. Students were made aware of upcoming football games, Back to School Night, and club rush. Rallies have always been an opportunity for students to cheer for their class, band together, and get excited about school, but this rally in particular was won by the Senior class. All-in-all, the rally turned out to be a major success and it gave the incoming Freshmen a taste of what the next four years will be like.
