U.S.A. News: November

By: Chloe and Emmajean Wilson

The presidential election gives U.S. citizens the chance to exercise their right to vote. Our democracy, something long fought for, has once again been put to use. On November 8th, 2016, the U.S. citizens around the country voted on who the next president should be. Out of all the candidates, the two most popular were Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton. After months of campaigning, speeches and guest appearances, the final showdown occurred. The night was action-packed with countless political commentators giving contradicting opinions. Despite the polls predicting Clinton would win the electoral college, Trump decidedly took the lead and won the election. Although the actual electoral college vote has yet to take place, Trump is almost assuredly going to be our next president.
