Fall is under way, and as the leaves are changing, so is the style around school. Here are highlights of the most common fashion trends seen around campus throughout this first part of the school year:
Bomber Jackets
Also known as a “flight jacket,” this popular clothing item has made a comeback from its popular use by military pilots in both World Wars. Watch out leather jacket, you’ve got some competition!
Choker Necklaces
Chokers have been around for quite a long time and have seemed to have hit another peak in its trend. Chokers have been worn by various types of women of different classes all throughout the ages, and there are many different styles of this simple tight-fitting necklace. Chokers can be made with practically any fabric, and can be plain, patterned, or have a pendant hanging from them.
Double Buns
Also known as Space Buns, or what I like to call them Honey Buns, this hairstyle has been popularized by anime characters, and has been seen around campus in a variety of styles. Some wear their hair with both buns fully up, while others do a half-up, half-down style with some hair in double buns and the rest down.
Mustard Yellow, Army Green, Blush Pink
These colors have been met with much popularity, as you can tell in popular stores such as Forever 21. Even though they may not be the most attractive colors, the somewhat “dull” shades seem to be quite the hit!
Friends Fashion
These next categories represent a comeback from the ‘90s, and are what I like to call “Friends” fashion, as many of these trends and those similar have been commonly seen on the widely popular TV show of the same name.
And, not to mention, my favorite trend of them all: Smiles! :)
